Retired Greyhounds Make

GREYT PETS!

If you're looking for a loyal, gentle and affectionate pet, Iowa Greyhound Park's greyhound adoption program might just bring you a new member of the family.

During the past 18 years with Dubuque Greyhound Park and Dubuque Greyhound Park at Mystique, we've placed nearly 2,000 retired races in loving, caring homes. From families with young children to nursing homes, greyhounds' warm nature makes them perfectly suited for a variety of settings.

We provide spaying or neutering and all necessary shots and veterinary services before we release our greyhounds as pets. A small adoption fee covers these costs.

Interested in adopting a greyhound? Complete and submit the contact form and an Adoption Program representative will contact you to schedule an interview and introduce you to adoptable greyhounds.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - PLEASE READ

Because of the Coronavirus Pandemic, The Iowa Greyhound Adoption Program will not have the adoption kennel open to the public, but we are taking adoption applications and will do as much as of the adoption process via phone and email, and if approved will be put on a list and will notify approved applicants and make appointments to come to the kennel to meet potential matches, once the stay at home except for work and essential errands order has been lifted. You can message this page or email adoption@igaracing.com with any questions or to request an adoption application packet.
